Concentration

For my concentration i would like to do high fashion photography. Models with crazy hair and outrageous make up. With the models i will focus on the principles and elements of art. Such as line, shape, contrast, color, depth of field, asymmetry, symmetry, form, emphasis and etc.
I am going to put the models in abstract or interesting places.
Or i am going to put the model in a place where they don't belong.
For example
-a rocker w/ a mohawk in an office

Breadth 11

He used mixed media with photos paint and news or magazine clippings. The peices are more about poltical things. I only liked a few of his peices, i liked the more colorful ones. I think they are more attracting and interesting. The other ones are too boring for my taste.

Breadth 10

The beauty of the photo is what makes a good peice of art.Instead of just experiencing it you have to see it and feel the emotion. People make art to express themselves it matters because it shows your feelings.Art and beauty are essentially related but art does not have to be beautiful. natural objects arent neccesarily works of art until taken into a different manner. Art work is good depending on your individual taste and style. Art means the same thing in every culture, group, and society. Both the artist and the viewer determine the meaning of art work its all about perspective. Judging artwork doesnt always matter but sometimes critisism is good. People obtain their beliefs about art from their emotions.

Alfred Stieglitz manes that things are similar but with different meanings when he says equivalent.

Breadth 8

You can create a more peaceful world through imagery by telling a story. People dont realize the reality and harshness of conflicts today such as war, consumption, economy. Photos can show it how it really is, brutality and all.

American consumerism is out of control, i dont think anyone realizes how bad it reallly is. With my photos i will show brutality and reality to tell a story as i take the role of a photojournalist.

Three things i can do to be a more active photographer:
1) I can carry my camera with me everywhere i go, especially when im out in the community.
2) I can get more involved by paying attention and setting up shots.
3) I can be very critical with my shots and positioning to make the photo stronger.

Breadth 7

This was a very interesting film. I really enjoy the fact that they have a story to go withtheir pictures. Every picture tells you something different. I also liked how they didn't only photograph happy things or nice things but they photographed not so nice things as well, photos that really reach out and send a message such as the soldier and the slumps and the africa pictures with the elephants.

Breadth 6

NY times:

Obama: These photos of Obama are very, very personalbe. They are up close and they definately make you think. It looks like these photos are staged but they're not! There is alot of very good shots.

Cheney: The photo of Cheney is not very personable and it doesn't tell you very much.. he's cooking.. okay so what? I think there needs to be more to the picture.
